We held the clearances. We sat in the SCIF. We built what didn't exist.
Vyper Intelligence builds software for classified environments because we've worked inside them.

Why Vyper Exists
The classification system inside the Intelligence Community runs on judgment calls, PDF guides, and memory. Cleared analysts make thousands of classification decisions a week, each one traced back (in theory) to the governing Security Classification Guide. In practice, an analyst can spend one to three hours classifying a single document. The estimated overclassification rate across the federal government runs between 50 and 90 percent, not because analysts are careless, but because the consequence of underclassifying is a spillage incident while the consequence of overclassifying is nothing visible.
The founder of Vyper Intelligence spent years inside that problem. As a senior platform engineer on NGA's Project Maven and in NSA mission support, he watched the same pattern repeat: analysts burning hours on classification, defaulting to the highest marking when uncertain, and overclassifying because nobody wanted to be the person who got it wrong. The tooling did not exist. Building software for air-gapped classified environments is genuinely difficult, and the commercial market is small enough that nobody bothered.
On the development side, the same gap existed in reverse. Small defense contractors who needed compliant software kept facing a false choice: an 18-month quote they could not afford from a domestic shop, or an offshore team that would create foreign ownership, control, and influence problems. Compliance was always an afterthought: bolted on after the build, which is where the cost overruns come from and where the schedule risk hides.
Vyper Intelligence exists to close both gaps. Cadmus gives cleared analysts real-time classification decision support that runs where they actually work. Custom development gives defense contractors compliant software at a fixed price, with the source code in their hands at delivery.

What we believe
Compliance from the first commit.
We write against NIST 800-53 controls from day one. Compliance is architecture, not an afterthought.
You own the code.
Every custom engagement transfers full source code ownership at delivery. No license, no dependency.
Honest about what we can and cannot do.
We do not hold a facility clearance, and we will not claim otherwise. We do not guarantee ATOs. We build toward accreditation readiness and we tell you exactly where that line is.
Built for the environment you actually work in.
Air-gapped. On-premises. Purpose-built for classified networks, not adapted from commercial tools.
